OAK is the setting for a new musical project. Its places and stories will gradually come to light through my music.
I've begun recording the first song, Drawbridge.
The Story
Five dwarves depart from Barrowden, a village beneath the southern eaves of Beechwood, with a wagonload of ale from the Old Dwarven Brewery, established 316 EA.
Their destination is Castle Redcliff, one of the brewery's oldest and most valued accounts.
The journey follows the Old Redcliff Road through the rocky passage of Slate Gap, over the old stone crossing at Alder Bridge, and onward through the red sandstone country surrounding the castle. Some forty miles of dusty, deeply rutted roads, steep climbs, and uncertain weather lie between Barrowden and Redcliff.
Of late, there have been rumors of strange folk abroad along the road. Some travelers even speak of goblins. But the dwarves have no intention of disappointing an old and faithful customer. The ale must be delivered.
